Each of our clinicians provide individual therapy for a variety of mental health struggles.
We have team members trained to provide services using:
· Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based trauma therapy for children and adolescents.
· Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for the treatment of trauma. We are not currently offering EMDR services for children.
· The Flash Technique, an evidence-based intervention used in conjunction with other therapies to assist people in healing from trauma and other difficult events.
We provide therapy for couples to help them through relationship struggles or to help improve their emotional connection.
Micro Current Neurofeedback or “MCN,” is an emerging treatment designed to help the brain ‘reboot’ itself. MCN is increasingly used to treat mind-related issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD and PTSD and many other disorders (see the full list below). It’s entirely safe, painless, non-invasive, and effective for both adults and children. In a typical MCN session, small electrodes are applied to a patient’s head to reflect brain waves and encourage a ‘re-routing’ of established brain wave patterns. More information is available on the MCN tab.
Online sessions are available through a secure platform if you prefer or if heath mandates require it.
We are able to provide training and consultation to your agency or organization on a variety of topics related to mental wellness, resilience, trauma recovery, and leadership.
We have already gotten some requests related to SB 26-095 that recently was enacted. The act requires “peace officer annual in-service training programs to include a 2-hour training to improve a peace officer's understanding of the impact of trauma on victim-survivors of crimes and the optimal way for a peace officer to respond to victim-survivors who are experiencing trauma and includes trauma-informed investigation and response training as a permissible use of peace officer training and support fund money.”
We are already working on developing this training for the agencies we work with. We will take our expertise in working with crime victims along with Dr. Palmer's experience conducting law enforcement interviews of crime victims to develop the training. If we can be helpful to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to libbi@palmerpsychology.com.
